I am PhD student in the D-A-CH project about vowel and consonant length in southern German varieties, in collaboration with the Institute of Phonetics and Speech Processing of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and the Acoustics Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Science in Vienna. I completed both my Bachelor and Masters of Arts at the University of Marburg, Germany, where I studied Language and Communication (B.A.) from 2014 to 2017 and speech science with a focus on phonetics (M.A.) from 2017 to 2019. In my BA thesis, I analyzed distinct methods of speech training regarding articulation. My MA thesis was about the effect of absolute pitch on intonational speech perception. I am interested in acoustic phonetics, microprosody, the connection between music and speech perception, as well as speech perception in general.
